Our History

Dash Logistics Team stems from a long history of transporting goods and offering services dating back to the 1800’s, when past generations lead teams of Oxen throughout the Mountains of Virginia transporting harvested timber to the James River.

The legacy continued as they carved out the landscape with the introduction of the railroad while the younger generation joined the ranks of the logging industry, loading timber that was hauled through Irish Creek area of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley. Fast forward, continuing the journey, as the Great-Grandchildren built roads connecting cities and towns, some having careers as Over the Road Truck Drivers, to the current generation who started out as Shipping Clerks and Warehouse Managers.  Continuing the tradition with our knowledge, updated tools and technology, has lead us in the profession of Freight Broker Agents.

Dash Logistics Team partners with manufacturers, distributors and shippers of all sizes to provide customized transportation solutions to meet specific needs. We take the time to learn and understand our customer’s product and treat cargo as if it were our own! Our team is dedicated to offering superior service and take pride in the role we play in our customer’s supply chain.

David Armstrong – David’s interested in transportation began at an early age.  Growing up at the crossroads of Interstate 64 and 81 offered a unique opportunity.  He secured a workers permit at age 14 and began working at 10-4 Truck Stop (now Smiley’s Fuel City).  David continued to grow his knowledge spending the next two decades in the transportation, distribution, production and warehousing industries as a Supervisor or Manager.  He continued to take on additional projects as the scope of his career evolved and became well versed implementing SOP’s for product transitioning, handling and shipping.  He also brings an additional 10 years of Sales and Customer Service experience, and combining both backgrounds into his current position, gives him the ability to better understand and service the needs of his customers, partners and carriers.

Stephanie Hall –
Stephanie brings nearly 20 years experience building customer relationships.  She worked as a Shipping Clerk for Alcoa Building Products, and after 4 years, transitioned her career to B2B solution sales spending nearly 14 years with Dell, Inc.  There she sharpened her skills in price negotiation, project management and positive customer experiences. Where others see limitations, she sees opportunity and strives to be the main point of contact for customers, solving their transportation pain points.  Stephanie has a strong appreciation for the carriers as well, her father was an OTR Driver (1975-2005*) which offered insight to the complications drivers face.  She even went as far as obtaining her CDL learners permit to show her willingness to have a better driver perspective.
